Do You Believe In You?

In the intricate dance of everyday life, a timeless struggle unfolds between two formidable forces: intuition, often portrayed as the “still small voice,” and the ego—a powerful influence that shapes our decisions and actions. This internal conflict, akin to the age-old analogy of the angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other, echoes as a symbolic representation of the ongoing battle between our authentic inner truth and the pervasive influences of the ego. In the quest for self-discovery and personal growth, the question that resonates is, “Do you believe in you?”—a contemplation that explores the depths of understanding and embracing the authentic self amidst the ever-present interplay of intuition and ego

One day I was on my way to the beach and before I left home I had the route all planned out in my head, as I was driving alone a the “still small voice” said to me “turn right here”, but my ego won the battle and I carried on with my planned route, half a mile or so down the road there was a road block and I had to turn around and proceeded the way that small voice told me.

Our personal experience, set against the backdrop of my journey to the beach, becomes a powerful metaphor for the choices we face in life. The pre-planned route represents the calculated decisions we make based on our rational minds and past experiences—the domain of the ego. However, the unexpected voice suggesting a different turn represents the intuitive, instinctual wisdom that seems to come from a deeper, more universal source.

This “Universal call” speaks to the idea that there’s a higher guidance available to us—an inner compass that, when followed, leads us to the right path. It’s a reminder that sometimes the answers we seek are not found in elaborate plans or logical reasoning but in the quiet whispers of our inner selves. My experienced story underscores the notion that when we listen to this inner guidance, we are often spared from unnecessary obstacles and detours.

I’ll give another example have you ever find yourself at school, university or doing a multiply choice test and follow the small voice for the answers only to go back and change the answers for a lower grade?. The universe has our back and only wants abundance for us, however our ego has and will always stand up and guide us the wrong way so we have to pay more attention to the inner self and silent the ego.

This analogy extends to the academic setting, where the small voice becomes a guide even in the face of standardized testing. The contrast between trusting that inner voice and succumbing to the influence of the ego in changing answers speaks to the larger theme of learning to trust oneself in various aspects of life. The universe, as portrayed in your narrative, is depicted as benevolent and supportive, offering guidance for our highest good.

The crux of this message lies in the distinction between the ego, which may lead us astray, and the intuitive voice, which is aligned with the universal flow of abundance and growth.

Always ask yourself does anyone really know you more than you know yourself, have they felt the pain you’ve felt, have they experienced the things you have?

These rhetorical questions I’ve posed encourage self-reflection, emphasizing that no one else can truly understand our unique experiences or guide us as effectively as the universe can.

In essence, my story serves as a poignant reminder to cultivate a connection with that inner guidance, to listen to the subtle nudges from the universe, and to trust in the path that leads to personal growth and universal love. It’s a universal lesson wrapped in a personal narrative, inviting readers to reflect on their own experiences of navigating the delicate balance between ego and intuition.
